Randal was born December 3, 1985, in Houston, Texas, the son of Randal Gene Leatherman Sr. and Gayla Denise Justice Leatherman. He grew up and lived the majority of his life in Fisk, Texas. In 2004 he graduated high school and began various jobs until he found that one job he just had a love for and could not ignore, the oil field. Randal held various positions within different companies, one of which took him all the way to Kansas, but Texas was his home. He started at the bottom and currently held the position of operator, taking care of his own crew. He traveled all over Coleman County to all his rigs. Randal enjoyed collecting rocks and arrowheads. He had a tradition of collecting a rock from each new location. When he wasn't working, which was very seldom, you would find him tending to his garden and all his animals. His collection had definitely grown over the years to include chickens, ducks, pigs, an aquarium of fish, and his most recent, a horse. He also loved going to garage sales to find items and antiques he did not need, but just had to have. Randal was born a wild child and grew into a rebel without a care. He made it a point to enjoy life to the fullest with no regrets and always greeted you with a smile on his face that brightened your day. Randal was a fiercely loyal friend who believed that blood was not the only thing that made someone family. He will be greatly missed by many.

Randal is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Kenneth Leatherman, Sr., Gene LaVerne Leatherman; aunts and uncles, Rodney Dwayne Leatherman Sr., Billy Ray & Sue Justice, Johnny Justice, Robin LaVerne Leatherman Simms, and Edward Lee Simms.

Randal is survived by his father, Randy Leatherman; his mother Gayla Leatherman; his grandparents, B.R. and Alice Justice; his siblings, Casie Morgan and Christi Watson; nephews and nieces, James McMillan, Jake McMillan, and Jade Morgan.

His aunts and uncles, Robert Kenneth Leatherman, Jr., Mike Justice, Mary Ann Justice, and Tim Justice; and numerous cousins and extended family.
