Obituary

Patsy June Wright, age 86, of Santa Anna, died Friday, March 17, 2023, at Holiday Hill in Coleman, Texas.

The family will host a visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday March 19th, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Services will be held Monday March 20th, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cleveland Church of Christ with Jack Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Cleveland Cemetery between Santa Anna and Trickham on FM 1176. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Patsy “Pat” was born August 26, 1936, in Fort Worth Texas to Zuda and C.E. Ernest Coder. She attended schools in Dallas and graduated from Dallas Crozier Tech High School. On August 15th, 1969, she married the love of her life Darrell “Tex” Wright in Rockwall, Texas, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage together. She worked for many years in the insurance business starting with State Farm in Dallas, Hosch Insurance and Patterson Insurance in Santa Anna, and Countywide Insurance in Coleman.  Patsy was a member of the Cleveland Church of Christ.

Patsy is survived by her daughter Danna Smith and husband Bill of Hale Center, Texas; son James Pelton and wife Cindy of Santa Anna, Texas; and daughter Alys Ellis and husband Earl of Santa Anna, Texas.

Also surviving are her sisters-in-law Clara Gibson and husband Bill of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Judy Chambers and husband Phil of Coleman, Texas; and her brother-in-law Lynn Wright and wife Jerry of Mason, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Stephanie Turner of San Antonio, Texas, Chrystal Pelton of Santa Anna, Texas, Jennifer Rambo and husband Josh of Santa Anna, Texas, Brittany Sparks and husband Kyle of Fredericksburg, Texas, Jessica Cheaney and husband Chris of Round Rock, Texas, Sarah Taylor and husband TJ of Santa Anna, Texas, and Tommy Ellis of Santa Anna Texas.

Eleven great grandchildren: Jayden, Dawson, and Jolie Rambo of Santa Anna, Texas, Bridget Perkins and Xander Turner of San Antonio, Texas, Alyssa and Trey Taylor of Santa Anna, Texas, Tucker and Tanner Sparks of Fredericksburg, Texas, and Luke Kerr, Maggie and Anna Cheaney of Round Rock, Texas; and one great-great grandchild Kyson Rambo of Cross Plains, Texas.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tex Wright, sister Dorothy and husband Robert Todd of Lewisville, and brother Robert and wife Lenora Coder of Dallas.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Allen Center/Holiday Hill, Coleman Home Health and Hospice, and Coleman County Medical Center for their compassionate care of Patsy.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Patsy to the Cleveland Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 722, Santa Anna, Texas 76878 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
