Patricia Ann (Monroe) Jones

Patricia Ann Jones, age 82, of Coleman, died Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at her residence with her family by her side.

She was born Patricia Ann Monroe on November 4, 1938 in Coleman to Homer Monroe and Maude Akins Monroe.  She grew up in Talpa and graduated from Talpa High School in 1956.  Patricia served as the postmaster for the Talpa post office and retired in 1995.  She moved to Coleman in 1997.  Patricia loved to grow flowers and tend to her garden.  She was an expert at growing tomato plants.  Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her love and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding Patricia in death are her parents, Homer and Maude Monroe, and her siblings, Mildred Barnes, Weldon Monroe, Veoma Fisher, Billie Rouillard, Ruby Butler, Milton Monroe, Ruth Williams, and Ardell Monroe.

She is survived by her children, Linda Carol Lanham and husband Jerry of Coleman, Randy Charles Jones and wife Pam of Coleman, Katherine Ann Crawford and husband Larry of Timberon, New Mexico, and Jimmy Jones of Coleman; seven grandchildren, Dusti Cockerham, Jason Calder, Randall Jones, Misty Crowe, Brittany Everett, Kevin Calder, and Alicia Jones; 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way; her sisters, Joyce Livingston and Patsy Jackson; her brother, L.J. Monroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are private with interment at the Talpa Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
