Gary was born January 13, 1958, in Coleman to Jerry Glenn Thomas and Wanell McClellan Thomas.  He grew up in Coleman and graduated from Coleman High School in 1976.  Gary obtained an associate degree in HVAC.  He married Donna Tunnell on March 19, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Dallas, Texas Temple on December 6, 2003. Gary and Donna were blessed with three sons: Garrett, Jarrad and Luke.  Gary and Donna moved to McKinney where they made their home until his passing.  Gary worked for Entech Sales and Service for over 20 years.

Gary loved life and all the adventures that came with it.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved his Harley motorcycle and dreamed of riding again one day. Gary also enjoyed photography, researching family history, and was beginning to learn how to play the guitar.  He had a gift for being able to fix anything that needed to be repaired or built.

Gary was also a kind and loving man.  He was very service oriented and put others’ needs before his own.  He loved his family immensely and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.  He always enjoyed coming home to Coleman to see his family and friends.  Gary was a true Coleman Bluecat supporter his entire life.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Wanell Thomas.
