Freddie Lee Burton, age 64, of Coleman, died Saturday, March 25, 2023, at his residence.  The service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Seth Moore, pastor of Hords Creek Cowboy Church, officiating.  Interment will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.

Freddie Lee Burton was born January 18, 1959, in Coleman, a son of Freddie B. Burton and Freda Morgan Burton.  He grew up in Coleman and attended school here.  He was an oilfield pumper.  Freddie was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life – fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandbabies.  He is deeply mourned and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lisa Kay.

He is survived by two daughters, Misty Crowe and husband Ken of Amarillo and Dusti Cockerham of Evans, Colorado;  six grandchildren, Kenny Crowe, Jacob Crowe, Paislee Cockerham, Sage Cockerham, Autumn Cockerham and Blake Cockerham; two nieces, Stephanie Wilson of Granbury and Brittany Wilson of Odessa; one brother, Chris Burton and wife Linda of Coleman.
