Frankie (Terry) Quinn

Frankie Terry Quinn, age 83, of Robert Lee, died Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Robert Lee Care Center.

She was born Frankie Ruth Terry on April 16, 1938, in Santa Anna, Texas to Oscar Hill Terry, Jr. and Iola Stevens Terry. Frankie grew up in Coleman where she attended school. She started working for Dr. Mann in Coleman in the late seventies. Frankie then attended nursing school and began a fulfilled career as a registered nurse. She graduated Salutatorian at Cisco Jr. College. She was a school nurse for a short amount of time and then moved to Midland and Odessa where she retired from Medical Center Hospital. She was the nurse manager for the emergency department for many years. Frankie and her team cared for Baby Jessica when she fell into the well and was invited to the Oprah Winfrey show as gratitude for her care and compassion during those events. Frankie cared for many individuals as she watched babies enter into this world and held hands of those that were dying.

After retirement, Frankie enjoyed her yardwork and gardening, earning a certificate as master gardener.  She also enjoyed tending to natures animals by feeding the birds and other wildlife. Frankie had a big heart and always tried to help anyone in need. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Iola Terry; her brother, Oscar “Mann” Hill Terry, III; her sister-in-law, Myrna Terry; her nephew, Marlon Terry; and brother- in- law, J.L. Smith.

She is survived by her husband, James Quinn of Robert Lee; two sons, Tommy Quinn and wife Sue of Blackwell and Roy Quinn of Abilene; her sister, Margie Smith; her brother, Don Terry and wife Mary; two grandchildren, Josh Quinn and Scott Quin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
