William Cyrus Davis, born September 3, 1960, in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Coleman, Texas, with his loving companion Mary Nagel at his side.

Billy, as everyone knew him, had fought an exceptionally long and courageous battle with cancer, always keeping a cheerful outlook, and showing the indominable strength and will he was known for.

Billy graduated from Cross Plains High School in 1980, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track due to his size, strength, and surprising speed. After graduation he found his way into the United States Army, where he served for 10 years. After leaving the service he worked at several jobs, including driving a truck, before settling into manufacturing at Diamond P Enterprises in Brownwood, Texas where he worked for many years until his health began to fail, and he was no longer able to perform the tasks he enjoyed so much.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, William and Lieselotte, his older brother Thomas, and his son Sean. He is survived by his companion Mary Nagel of Coleman, daughter Kelly of College Station, two brothers, Gary Davis and wife Jennifer (Jennie) of Las Vegas and Brian Davis and wife Aprelle (Elle) of Lake Brownwood, as well as multiple cousins in and around the area.

Services are currently pending with Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
