Weyman Brown, age 83, of Coleman, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Coleman County Medical Center.

He was born Weyman Epps Brown on April 17, 1938, in Amarillo, Texas to Weyman Epps Brown, Jr. and Glenna Uhl Brown. Weyman grew up in the Texas Panhandle town of Sunray and graduated from Sunray High School. After graduation, Weyman attended West Texas State University in Canyon. He had a career in insurance sales. Weyman enjoyed participating in team roping and was an avid fisherman and hunter. After retirement, he became an expert at woodworking. Weyman incorporated mesquite wood along with turquoise making beautiful pieces of art. Many of his pieces were displayed at a local art gallery in Amarillo. Weyman married Vicki Taylor in 1988 in Amarillo and they made their retirement to Coleman in 2017. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Coleman.

Weyman is preceded in death by his parents, Weyman and Glenna Brown and his brother, Eugene Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Viki Brown of Coleman; two sons, Pete Brown and Jeff Brown of Happy; two granddaughters, Maci Ruiz of Canyon and Codi Brown of Canyon; and one sister, Elaine Pool of Van.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a late date in Amarillo, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
