Wanda Nell Shaw, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, departed this life peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in Coleman, Texas, with her family by her side. She was born on September 14, 1930, in Voss and spent her early years growing up in Coleman County, where she attended school.

Wanda's life was a testament to love and devotion. She married Jessie Lindberg Shaw on February 3, 1949, in Coleman, and together they established a family that would be the center of her world. Wanda was a dedicated homemaker, and her love for her family was evident in everything she did. She cherished her roles as a mother to J. Mac Shaw and companion Jeff Belden, and Patricia McMillan, and her husband Craig. Wanda's legacy shines brightly through her grandchildren: Stefanie Gentry and her husband Wes, Cody Smith and his wife Ambrosia, and Austin Smith. Her heart swelled with joy for her great-grandchildren, Dalton Gentry and wife Savannah, Cadence Reese and husband Joshua, Ryland Gentry, Taryn Smith, Dylan Smith, Brennan Smith, and Sebastian Smith, and she took immense pride in her great-great-grandchildren, Dawson, Sawyer, and Kace. She will also be remembered by her sister, Marilyn Brannan of Burleson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A woman of warmth and kindness, Wanda thrived on caring for others. Her dedicated service to her church family was a reflection of her generous spirit; she volunteered countless hours preparing meals for funerals, showers, and community parties. Wanda also made it a priority to deliver food and snacks to homebound church members and residents of Holiday Hill Nursing Home. These acts of kindness are testaments to the deep connections she fostered within her community and will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched. Wanda will also be remembered by her fervent schedule of house cleaning and her weekly hair appointments, which were just as important as church!

Wanda's vibrant personality was characterized by love and surrounded by an outgoing charm that drew people to her. Her devotion to her family and her community will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Mack F. Copeland and Dee Lewis Copeland; her husband, Jessie Lindberg Shaw; and her brother, Mack Ferman Copeland.

The family will host a visitation at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Stovall and Rev. Jeff Dean officiating. A private interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

Wanda Nell Shaw leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and commitment to family and community that will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew her.
