Tallye Malynn Harris was born November 1, 2002, in Coleman.  She grew up in Coleman County and attended school in Coleman where she had just completed her Sophomore year of high school.  She was part of the proud class of 2021 and was active in many school and community activities.  As a younger child, she helped her grandmother, Geneva Harris at Loaves and Fishes Ministries stocking food. In Junior High School, she received numerous awards and was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  She was involved in sports at CHS including volleyball, basketball, softball and golf.    Tallye participated in UIL events including spelling and journalism.  In FFA she was a member of the land judging team and showed pigs.  Tallye was also a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce.  She thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing with her daddy and brother.  Recently, Tallye was chosen as one of Coleman County Electric Cooperative’s Youth Tour participants, traveling to and touring Washington, DC , where she was a wonderful representative for Coleman County.  After returning from this trip, Tallye went to Son Days Camp at Cedar Hill with the Early First Baptist Youth Group.   During these two trips, she made many friends and enjoyed them tremendously.  She then attended three days of the State FFA Convention in Fort Worth.

Although Tallye’s life was short, she impacted a lot of lives and was dearly loved by her family, including her brother, who adored her and was her best friend.   She had a beautiful smile and always did what she thought was right.  She had dreams of attending Texas Tech University and eventually being involved in Sports Medicine.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Troya and Cody Chambers of Coleman; her father, Todd Harris and Hope Cobb of Gouldbusk; her brother, Trotter Harris of Gouldbusk; two step-brothers, Allen Chambers and Brian Chambers both of Coleman; grandparents, Dana Taylor of Doole, Troy Harding of Coleman and Joe Harris of Coleman; her second family, Brittany and Billy Sikes and their children, Gage, Cameron and Kelan, all of Coleman; aunts, uncles and cousins.
