Stephen Ray Davis

Stephen Ray Davis, age 59, was called home Saturday, June 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Steve was born October 10, 1959 in Coleman to Dalton Lee Davis and Lanelle Davenport Davis.  He grew up in Coleman and graduated high school in 1978. He married Jimmie Gail Hafner in Brady on July 22, 2011.  Steve was an expert diesel technician, working long stretches on crab boats and off-shore processors in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.  He enjoyed auctions, collecting antiques and spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jimmie Gail Davis of Coleman, son, Cody Dane Davis of Kalamazoo, Michigan, stepchildren Amber Bouldin and husband Monty of Fisk, Cody Slate and wife Candace of Sterling City, Haley Cook and husband Boone of Early, Travis Slate and wife Brandi of Coleman, Julie Rae and husband Fuzz of Gouldbusk, 16 grandchildren, a host of special friends including Dale and Betty Watson, Sherry Stewart, and Dean Hogsett, Jim Harmeyer and the crew in Dutch Harbor.

Steve's wishes were to be cremated and a private family memorial is planned. Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.
