Robert Wayne Low

Robert Wayne Low, age 70, of Coleman, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 27 at the Mt. View Cemetery Pavilion with Guy Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Robert Wayne Low was born November 7, 1942 in Pecos, Texas, a son of Robert Samuel Low and Thelma Alline Walker Low. He grew up and attended school in Coleman. On March 4, 1966 he married Lois Sue Faries in Coleman. He retired from the United States Army after twenty-one years of service, including three tours of duty in Viet Nam. He was a helicopter mechanic in the military and worked for a short time on NASA projects.

After retiring from the military, he returned to live in Coleman where he was hired by the City of Coleman as the City Inspector. He held this position for twenty-three years, retiring several years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Low of Coleman; two sons, James Low of Coleman, William John Low and wife Amy of Coleman; one daughter, Sandi Rena Sullens of Brady; two sisters, Elsie and Clayton Burton of Eden and Jeannette Keeney of Coleman; six grandchildren, multiple step-grandchildren; aunts, Marie Walker of Crane, Bethel Belle (Bobbie) Wagnon of Coleman, Viola Walker of Coleman; an uncle, Robert J. Walker of Cisco; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 26 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.
