Randall B. Watson, age 78, of Coleman, died Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Coleman County Medical Center.  The family will host a visitation on Thursday, February 24, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.  You are also invited to attend his funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 25, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.  Interment will follow with military honors in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.

Randall Boyd Watson was born July 6, 1943, in Tucson, Arizona, a son of R. B. and Mary Juanita Stanford Watson.  During his younger years, he lived in Seminole and then moved to Coleman County where he graduated in 1961 from Novice High School. He proudly served in the Army National Guard. On August 2, 1963, he married Jeanita Ann Whittenberg in Winters and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2001.  Randall married Mary Lockhart on May 16, 2002, in Coleman.  Randall worked for Coleman Sheet Metal for 21 years.  He also worked for El Paso Natural Gas in the hydrocarbon division, as well as various other gas companies.

Randall was a person with a big personality who loved telling jokes, watching westerns and reading books.  He was a big Texas Ranger and Cowboys fan.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Ray Watson and stepson Chris Lockhart.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Watson of Coleman; children, Terry Watson and wife Kaci of Coleman and Lorri Smith and husband Anthony of Coleman; stepchildren, Tia Little and husband Layton of Corpus Christi and Maria Thomas and husband Ricky of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Godfrey of Bullard and Glenda Campbell of Bangs; brother Stanley Watson of Abilene; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested in memory of Randall to the Coleman County Jr. Livestock Association, P.O. Box 292, Coleman, Texas 76834, or to the Coleman Senior Citizen Center, 916 S. Concho Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.
