Nancy (Fletcher) Cathey

Nancy Cathey, age 66, of San Angelo and formerly of Abilene, died Monday, August 5, 2019, at her home.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.    Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, at the Brown Ranch Cemetery.  The family will meet at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery, leaving at 10:15 a.m.  Interment will be in the Brown Ranch Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Nancy Fletcher on November 2, 1952 in Crosbyton, Texas, a daughter of Harry Pat Fletcher and Robbie Hoover Fletcher.  She grew up in Spur, Brownfield and moved to Levelland her Sophomore year of high school and graduated from there.  On January 19, 1971 she married Terry Cathey in Levelland.  Following their marriage they lived in Abilene for several years before moving to San Angelo five years ago.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed making ceramics and painting.  She loved her grandchildren and puppies.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Cathey of San Angelo; children, Patrick Cathey of San Angelo and Corey Cathey and wife Lisa of San Angelo; grandchildren, Ashley, Marissa, Keeley, Hannah, Hunter, Braxton, Wyatt, Brayden, Robbie, Rusty, Michael and Charles and one great-grandchild, Raleigh; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pam Fletcher of Carlsbad, New Mexico.  Also surviving are nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Graham and Patricia Cathey, Lynda and Ray Wheeler, Karen Parker, Lora and Les Dockery, and Ronnie Miller.

She was preceded in death by a son, Justin Cathey; two brothers, Jackie Fletcher and Ronnie Fletcher.
