Mike Gallaher, Sr.

Mike Gallaher, Sr., age 59, of Coleman, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Coleman County Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Sunday, May 27, in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Kyle Foster officiating.  Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

He was born Michael Lee Gallaher on September 6, 1958 in Lawton, Oklahoma, a son of James Wallace Gallaher, Jr. and Charlene Jenet Rhoads Gallaher Buendel.  He grew up in Alice, Texas, where he also attended school.  He worked in the oil field for Integrity Services.  He moved to Coleman about 15 years ago.  On February 14, 2009 he married Sherry Lee Row in Coleman and they celebrated nine years of marriage.  He was a Baptist.  He loved his family and enjoyed teasing his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry, whom he called “Red”; three daughters, Constance Burnham and husband Ken of Midland, Stephanie Harris of Midland and Kristy Payne of Santa Anna; one son, Michael Lee Gallaher, Jr. and wife Christy of Midland; his mother and step-father,  Charlene and Charles Buendel of Coleman; three brothers, Jerry Wayne Gallaher of Springtown; Dennis Ray Gallaher of Corpus Christi and Tony Carpenter of Tennessee; ten grandchildren, Trace Burnham, Dana Fletcher, Kate Burnham, Ryann Gallaher, Brody Gallaher, Rush Gallaher, Faith Harris, Maddie Harris, Christopher Harris, and Rainey Payne; several nieces and nephews; step-brother, Charlie Buendel and wife Joyce of San Antonio; step-sister, Sharon Buendel of Pleasanton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
