Lois Eyvon Dobkins

Lois Eyvon Dobkins, age 81, of Coleman, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at her residence.

She was born Lois Eyvon Grantham on November 14, 1937 in Iraan, Texas to Joseph Grantham and Letha Smith Grantham.   Lois grew up in Iraan and graduated high school from the Iraan School District.  She married Charles Martin Dobkins, Jr. on May 8, 1960.  They made their home in Monahans, and eventually Coleman in 2009.  Lois was a store manager and helped run the family bakery.  She loved to crochet, her dogs, and most of all her family.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Martin Dobkins, Jr.; one son, Joseph Martin Dobkins; and one daughter, Rose Eyvon Dobkins.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlene Pennington and husband Billy of May; one brother, Rod Grantham and wife Gena of Cedaredge, Colorado; two grandchildren, Renea Lange and husband Keith and Kawyn Diez; three great-grandchildren, Zackery Lange, Nathaniel Diez, Jakoby Diez; cousin David Flack and wife Donna of Orrum, North Carolina; one nephew, Michael Howell; and two nieces, Paula Howell Woodson and Ayesha Grantham Edwards.

A graveside service will be held at the Monahans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street in Coleman.
