Linda Sue (Garner) Kugle

Linda Kugle, age 70, of Coleman, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at her residence in Coleman, under hospice care, with family by her side.  Linda’s wishes were to be cremated and her family is honoring her wishes.  There will be a private family service at a later date.  Arrangements were made by Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

She was born Linda Sue Garner on April 13, 1948, in Price, Utah, a daughter of George Garner and Barbara Jean Smith Garner (later Hansen).  She grew up in Price, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada, where she attended school.  On December 11, 1965, she married Paul Nelson Kugle, Jr., in Las Vegas, and he survives her.  Following their marriage, they lived in the Austin area for several years, including Liberty Hill for 10 years before moving to Coleman in 2004.  Before moving to Coleman, Linda was an Accounting Clerk for State Farm Insurance Company.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Coleman.

Linda only had one biological child, Cynthia Lue Cabral, but was a mother of eight.  She had a heart so big that she first took her youngest sister, Joanne Rae Hartline, and raised her from a young age.  A nephew, William Scott Good, came to live with her at age 15.  Linda raised her grandson, Paul Anthony Kugle from the time he was born and she raised a nephew, Robert Hansen, for 5 years.  Then Ashtyn Nichole Milan Kugle was her first great-granddaughter that she raised, then came Alex Ricky David Kugle and Linda Jean Kugle.  Even though she didn’t give birth to all of them, they all consider her to be their Guardian Angel.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Kugle of Coleman; one daughter, Cynthia Cabral (Mike Sqyres) of Hutto; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Paul Anthony Kugle, Michael Angelo Cabral, Amanda Nicole Cabral Lee, Ashtyn Nichole Milan Kugle, Alexander Ricky David Kugle, Isadora Kugle, and Paul Anthony Kugle, Jr.; sisters, Sally Hudson of Ontario, California, Carrie Lauer of Santa Monica, California, and Joanne Rae Hartline of Lexington, Ohio; brothers, Robert Hansen of Las Vegas, Bill Gibson of Price, Utah, and Marvin Hansen of Salt Lake City, Uta

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, David Cabral, and a sister, Barbara Jean Good.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Shriners.
