Kathy Golson, 62, of Brownwood, died Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Dallas.

She was born Kathy Ann Davis on July 26, 1955 in Abilene to David Henry and Ruby Jarrett Davis. She grew up in Crescent, Oklahoma, where she graduated from high school. She married Jake Golson on April 12, 2001 in Bloomfield, New Mexico. Kathy was the office manager for C & J Fabrication and for Jeff Blagg Engineering in Bloomfield. Kathy and Jake moved to Midland in 2010 from Bloomfield, then moved to Brownwood in 2016.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Jake Golson of Brownwood; her children, Chad Thornton and wife, Patty, of Bloomfield, Julia Thornton of Bloomfield, Misty Johnson and husband, Travis, of Hamilton, Jacob Golson of Winters, Kala Knighton of San Angelo, Wade Golson of Georgetown; grandchildren, Chad Thornton of Bloomfield, Jacob Thornton of Bloomfield, Arelia Thornton of Bloomfield, Mitchel Johnson of Hamilton, Jaden Knighton of San Angelo, Katlyn Knighton of San Angelo; sisters, Robert Allen and husband, Tom, of Farmington, New Mexico, Benda Powell and husband, David, of Lakeville, Minnesota; brothers, Buddy Davis and wife Kathy of Farmington, New Mexico, Sam Wilmoth of Stillwater, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Liz Golson of Coleman; sister-in-law, Michelle Sexton of Coleman and numerous nieces and nephews.

She preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service for Kathy will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
