Judith Louise “Lou” Stovall, age 75, of Coleman, died Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Coleman Healthcare.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Albany City Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Stovall, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Sweetwater, officiating.  Andrew Stovall will be assisting.  Interment will follow in the Albany City Cemetery.  Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

She was born Judith Louise Redding on October 3, 1947, in Breckenridge, Texas to James Andrew Redding and Judith Lee Gordon Redding.  Lou grew up in Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1966.  She married James Wayne Stovall on September 30, 1967, in Breckenridge.  With this union two sons were born, Joseph and Daniel.  The role of homemaker and mother was perfect for Lou.  She loved her sons, and that included all their friends.  Lou enjoyed cooking, reading, and her church family.  You could always hear her whistling a tune while doing her daily chores. Lou and Wayne relocated to Coleman in 2005 from Breckenridge.  She was a member of Concho Baptist Church in Coleman.  Lou was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She will be deeply missed.

Preceding Lou in death are her parents, James and Judith Redding.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Wayne Stovall of Coleman; two sons, Joseph Stovall and wife Chelli of Breckenridge and Daniel Stovall and wife Kim of Sweetwater; three grandchildren, Bethany McGee and husband Brycen, Andrew Stovall and wife Hannah, and Abby Stovall; five great-grandchildren, Kaid, Brayden, Harper, Carson, and Madi Lou; and two sisters, Jannie Salazar of DeSoto and Jimi Van Redding of Dallas.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in memory of Lou be made to Concho Baptist Church, 1700 S. Concho Street, Coleman, Texas 76834 or to the Coleman Senior Center Meals on Wheels, 916 S. Concho Street, Coleman, Texas 76834.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Stovall family by signing the virtual guestbook on Lou’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com.  Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Stovall family.
