Johnny Lee Hall

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Johnny Lee Hall, a beloved father, esteemed veteran, and dedicated professional in the petroleum industry. Johnny peacefully departed from this world to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on January 24, 2024, at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in Coleman, Texas, at the age of 75.

 Born on August 27, 1948, in Olney, Texas, Johnny was the epitome of an honorable and hardworking individual. During his youth, Johnny answered the call of duty and joined the United States Army on April 9, 1968. Serving with honor and bravery, he was deployed during the Vietnam War to Okinawa Japan. Johnny attained the rank of SP4, and his dedicated service to his country will forever be remembered.

After fulfilling his duties to the US Army, Johnny began his career in the petroleum industry by driving semi-trucks to make fuel and supply deliveries throughout Texas. Johnny was later employed by Phillips Petroleum Company in Sweeny, where he dedicated over three decades of his life serving as an operator in various divisions of the company. Johnny was a member of both the Phillips Fire Department and the Old Ocean Volunteer Fire department where he served as Fire Chief for a period of time. As a father, Johnny was a role model for his family by instilling a hard work ethic and being a great example of devotion to his wife. He leaves behind his beloved son, James Hall and wife Kris, son Raymond Hall and wife Cathy, and daughter Leanne Johnson and husband James Lee, who will cherish his memory and continue his legacy. He loved his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with all his heart. In his leisure time, Johnny enjoyed listening to his police scanner and watching his favorite TV show COPS, as well as The Weather Channel where he enjoyed predicting the paths of hurricanes.

Johnny is preceded in death by his loving wife, Antionette Elizabeth “Annie” Hildebrand Hall and his sister, Patsy Gail Hatfield. Celebration of Life service, to honor Johnny's memory, will be held at 12 PM on March 9, 2024, at First Baptist Church Sweeny, with a time of fellowship to follow. Officiate of the service will be Brother Lee Watson. As per Johnny's wishes, his remains will be interred with his beloved wife, Annie, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Selma, Texas.
