Coleman

Joe Paul Farrow, born on February 28, 1950, in Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Coleman County Medical Center. He leaves behind a legacy marked by hard work, honesty, and a deep love for his family.

A proud graduate of Permian High School, Joe graduated in 1969 and quickly began to shape his career in commercial construction, ultimately becoming a building superintendent. His dedication to his work was matched only by his commitment to his family. Joe was known for his straightforwardness; he always spoke the truth, never embellishing or sugar-coating reality. This quality earned him the respect and admiration of those who knew him.

Joe's heart was primarily devoted to his two children: Tara Lee Afner and her husband Vince of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jake Farrow and his wife Jeana of Coleman. He cherished his role as a father, always striving to provide the best for his family. He found immense joy in his four grandchildren, whom he adored and nurtured with steadfast love.

His service to his country was also a significant chapter in Joe's life, as he proudly served in the United States Army for three years, nine months, and 27 days. This commitment to service reflected his character and dedication, traits that he carried throughout his life.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Garland Farrow and Jo Nell Gorby Farrow; one brother, Edward Garland Farrow; and one daughter, Cassi Jo Farrow. Their memories will continue to hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.

As we reflect on the life of Joe Farrow, we remember a man who worked hard, loved fiercely, and lived truthfully. His presence will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.

A private burial will be in Hamlin Memorial Cemetery in Hamlin, Texas. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
