Jeannie Lee (Driskill) Smith

Jeannie Lee Driskill Smith, age 64, of Coleman, died Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her residence.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion.  Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Jeannie Lee Driskill on September 28, 1954 in Coleman, Texas to James Edward “Jiggs” Driskill and Patsy Thompson Driskill.  Jeannie grew up in Coleman and lived most of her life there.  Jeannie was a paramedic in Coleman, worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Coleman County Medical Center, and worked part time at Walker Funeral Home.  She loved playing on the computer, camping, playing board games, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jeannie is preceded in death by her father, “Jiggs” Driskill; Uncle Wayne Thompson; Aunt Dellene Driskill; grandparents Bob and Frankie Thompson.

She is survived by her mother, Patsy Driskill of Coleman; husband, James Smith of Coleman; son, Jerry Wright of Coleman; daughter Karri Mitchell and husband Raymond of Coleman; grandchildren Scott Curry and wife Kristel of San Angelo, Anthony Curry of Dallas, Jason Curry of Coleman, Jennifer Wright and husband Austin of Fort Worth, Bryan Wright of Coleman, Clarissa Wright of Coleman, Taydon Benson of Coleman, Sean Amos of Houston; six great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts and uncles.

A time of visitation with family and friends will be on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street in Coleman.
