Listen to Obituary

Jean Tune, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her home in Coleman, Texas, on May 3, 2026, with her husband and daughter by her side. Born on December 2, 1944, in Coleman, Texas, Jean drew her strength and values from her roots and lived a life marked by devotion to family and an appreciation for the simple joys of home and creativity.

Jean's early years were spent growing up in both Odessa, Texas, and Jal, New Mexico, where she attended school and graduated from Jal High School. Over the years, she built a career as a dedicated secretary working in the insurance industry, contributing her excellent organizational skills and professionalism. Later in life, she embraced her role as a homemaker, where her talents for cooking and home decorating truly shone.

Those who knew Jean remember her as an excellent cook who delighted in trying new recipes, a gifted artist with a knack for drawing and writing poetry, and a lover of music who found joy in singing. Her home was a reflection of her warm spirit, carefully adorned and welcoming.

In 1970, Jean married Charles (Chuck) Tune in Odessa. Together, they shared many years as a couple, living in Odessa, Abilene, and Fort Worth before returning to Coleman in 2013. Jean was immensely proud of her family, especially her only child, Carla, and her cherished grandson, Stephen.

Jean leaves behind her devoted husband, Charles (Chuck) Tune; her daughter, Carla Marquez, and son-in-law, Michael; her beloved grandson, Stephen S. Wilson; her sister, Phyllis Miller, and husband Ken; as well as her half-sisters, Norma Ditto and Terry Conway, and half-brother, Jimmy Adyelotte. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Wesley Clevenger and Nina Marie Smith Adyelotte.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home.
