Gwendolyn Washburn

Gwendolyn Yvonne Washburn, age 63, of Abilene, and formerly of Coleman, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at an Abilene hospital. Memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman.

Gwendolyn was born March 28, 1951 in Coleman, Texas, a daughter of Ralph Wheeler and Mary Fenton Wheeler. She grew up in Coleman and Kerrville. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse and worked in several facilities in Abilene.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Halaway of Abilene; two sons, Shannon Ridner and Jeremy Wortman both of Abilene; one grandchild, Christian Philliey of Abilene; a cousin, Buddy Wheeler of Fort Worth; nephews, James, Jacob and Jeffrey Rosales and a brother-in-law, Joe Rosales of Coleman.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Tammy Rosales.
