Glynda Corriene Carrillo, born February 3, 1958, in Ipswich, England, passed away peacefully on November 8th, 2025, in Coleman, Texas at the age of 67. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 1 PM at Stevens Funeral Home, located at 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman.

Glynda is the daughter of Gerald Lynn Crowder and Joyce Barbara Beales Crowder. She was born in England while her father was stationed there in the military and she along with her family moved to Texas as an infant after her father got out of the service. She grew up in Garland, Texas during her younger and teenage years before moving to Coleman in the early 70’s where she would make this her forever home.

Glynda spent her life working hard and loving deeply. She was never afraid of hard work, and she held many roles over the years. From waitressing at Essary’s Dairy Mart, to factory work at Stemples, Daltile, and Dry’s Manufacturing, and a dedicated employee of 20 years at Walmart. There she could be found with a smile on her face, a cheerful heart and an eagerness to help anyone out even if it was not in her department. Her greatest attribute was that she poured her heart into everything she did, no matter the job she took pride in bringing her signature mix of grit, humor and kindness to every shift, brightening the days of her coworkers and customers. She had a way of making strangers feel like friends and her favorite words to call everyone were honey and baby.

Glynda was vivacious, spunky, and unafraid to speak her mind and would say exactly what she thought needed to be said. She was protective of those she loved and was always ready with honesty, life lessons and advice whether you thought you needed it or not. She loved dancing in the living room, going to the lake to fish, swim, or even just to catch a tan. She also enjoyed painting, origami, crafting, playing card games and gift giving. She had an incredible talent for giving the most thoughtful, personal, straight from the heart gifts. She also had a love of cooking, whether it was for her dogs or for others. Glynda was afraid of silence, and she wholeheartedly believed that a good meal and good conversation was the cure all to forget about all the world’s problems. After a life of working multiple jobs, she got to spend her last 2 years in retirement snuggled up on her couch with her favorite blanket and in her favorite moo moo watching Hallmark movies or reading a good book.

Above all, Glynda cussed like a sailor but loved Jesus and her family fiercely. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and authenticity. A reminder to work hard, play harder, speak truthfully and love deeply. Her spirit will live on through the flowers she grew, the meals she made, the gifts she gave, and seeds of love that she sowed into our souls.

Glynda was proud of her family, which was always her foremost priority. She is survived by her children, Dustin Robert Watson and his partner Karly of Fountain Valley, California, Brittany Sikes and her husband Bill of Coleman, Skyla Carrillo Black of Coleman, and Tonya Jo Williford and her husband Tommy of Deleon. Her heart beamed with love for her grandchildren, including Emily Watson, Eliana Watson, Ethan Watson, Gage Sikes, Cameron Sikes, Kelan Sikes, Nikkijo Black, Jett Black, Steely Black, Remington Black, Justin Salazar and wife Janie, Hayden Jurado, Baby Johnny Jurado and 2 great grandchildren Justin Salazar and Jolena Salazar, each of whom she cherished deeply. Glynda is also survived by her soul sister, Disa Merton and husband Mike of Athens.

Glynda is proceeded in death by her parents, Gerald Lynn Crowder and Joyce Barbara Beales Turner, and one brother, Kelvin Derwood Crowder.

The family requests with gratitude that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Glynda be made to Humane Society of Coleman County spay/neuter program PO Box 282 Coleman, TX 76834 or the Coleman Bluecat Booster Club at PO Box 502 Coleman, TX 76834.
