Glenn Allen Walden

Glenn Allen Walden, a beloved member of the Coleman, TX community, passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 72. Born on August 7, 1950, in Mobile, AL, Glenn was the son of the late Lewis Ellis Walden and Ottie Mae Criswell Walden.

Glenn, a compassionate and kind-hearted individual, touched the lives of many with his genuine spirit and generosity. With a passion for making others happy, he found great joy in giving gifts to his family and friends. Known for his knack for tie-dye creations, Glenn delighted in sharing his vibrant pieces with loved ones, who always cherished them as a reflection of his loving nature. Additionally, a visit to Glenn's home would often be accompanied by the sweet treat of licorice, symbolizing his welcoming and hospitable personality.

Glenn's dedication and commitment were not limited to his relationships, as he had an illustrious career spanning four decades at Bell Helicopter. Through hard work and perseverance, he contributed to the success of the company, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.

While Glenn's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, his cherished memory will forever live on. He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Bruton and husband Jason, his stepchildren, Evan Autry and wife Lindsey and Leah Autry Biddle and husband George. Glenn will be missed by his siblings, Herbert Walden and wife Karen, Charles Walden and wife Jan, Bruce Walden and wife Cathy, Kathy Walden Forrester and husband Billy, and Jimmy Walden. He loved his grandchildren, Aubrey, Austin, Avery, Asher, Alaine, Rhett, Cameron, and Crew.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Ottie Walden; his loving wife, Molly Sue Walden; his son, Chad Walden; and his siblings, Leonard Walden and Jerry Walden.

Family and friends are invited for a time of visitation and reflection from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

As per Glenn's wishes, he will be cremated and his cremated remains spread at New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

Glenn Allen Walden will forever be remembered for his compassionate spirit, generous heart, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul find eternal peace and may his legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire us all.
