Ginger Lauren Adams, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Coleman County Medical Center in Coleman, Texas. Born on January 19, 1950, in Rotan, Texas, she was a shining light to all who knew her.
After graduating from Rotan High School, Ginger embarked on a fulfilling career as a legal secretary, dedicating many years to this profession. She later continued her public service by working for the Novice Independent School District after moving to Coleman County. Through her work, she left an indelible mark on her community, known for her kindness and dedication.
Ginger was married to Bruce Adams on June 21, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they were devoted members of Burkett Baptist Church, where they shared their faith and built lasting friendships within the congregation.
Her family was her pride and joy. Ginger is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Adams of Burkett, her daughter, Misti Fuller, and her stepdaughter, Brittany Lowe and husband Guy. She adored her grandchildren: Mason Fuller and wife Briana, Madison Fuller and fiancé Hunter, Rowdy Hinds, Michael Guzman and wife Brittany, Richard Murray Wright, Cheyenne Lowe, and Hunter Lowe. Ginger took immense joy in her great-grandchildren, including Aleigha Fuller, Sylas Fuller, Olivia Fuller, Laken Daughtery, Beckham Daughtery, Emberlynn Guzman, Briar Guzman, Bristol Guzman, Richard Murray Wright II, and a baby girl on the way. Her sister, Kay Hayes and husband Jim, also cherish her memory.
Ginger will be remembered not only for her dedication to her family but also for her bright and loving personality. She delighted in cooking and entertaining her loved ones, often bringing everyone together for Thanksgiving celebrations. In her leisure time, Ginger enjoyed reading, crocheting, traveling, and solving crossword puzzles. As football season approached each fall, she passionately cheered for her beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, AlDee Sumerlin and Jewell Ratliff Sumerlin, and one son, Steven Murray Wright.
A memorial service to celebrate Ginger's life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:30 AM, at Stevens Funeral Home, located at 400 W Pecan Street in Coleman, with Charles Watts, pastor at First Baptist Church in Burkett, officiating.
Ginger Lauren Adams will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and fervent spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
