Gavin Berry

March 25, 1999 — February 27, 2017

Gavin Berry, age 17, died Monday, February 27, 2017, in Coleman. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at First Baptist Church, 200 E. College, Coleman, with Rev. Clark Bosher, pastor of Willow Park Baptist Church, officiating. Eulogy will be given by family friend Allen Henard. Interment will follow at the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Gavin was born March 25, 1999 in Weatherford, Texas. He lived in Weatherford and attended school there until moving to Coleman eight years ago. He was currently a Senior at Coleman High School. Gavin played basketball and baseball and participated in UIL in Social Studies and Current Events. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Greek Mythology. He loved little kids and his grandparents. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Coleman.

Survivors include his parents, Greg and Amber Hardin of Coleman; two brothers, Robbie Berry of Coleman and Chris (wife Summer) Hardin of Brock; a sister, Misty (husband Jason) Foster of Coleman; nephew, Dyson Sowers; nieces, Paizlee and Madi Hardin and Lexi and Haylee Foster; grandparents, Jarvis George, Vernice Hardin and Kay and Eddie Rankin all of Coleman; birth mother, Nicole Hubert and husband Nick of Saginaw; sisters, Olivia and Grace Graves of Saginaw; brother, Raymond Berry of California; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Hardin and a brother, William Graves.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.
