Faye Loggins and Billy Floyd Creek

Fay Loggins Creek, 73, passed away June 11, 2011 with her husband of fifty-five years, Billy Floyd Creek, 76, following on September 30, 2011. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at the Voss Cemetery Pavilion in Voss, Texas (Coleman County) with Rev. Daniel Stovall officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, Texas.

Mrs. Creek was born September 8, 1937 in Leaday Texas, the daughter of Ira and Eula Loggins. Mr. Creek was born in Leaday on July 26, 1935 the son of Floyd and Allie Mae Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Creek were married February 19, 1956 and relocated to Arlington Texas in 1957, where they raised their children and were active in their community until they passed.

Mrs. Fay Creek was a loving mother, grandmother and great grand mother who donated her spare time to the Arlington Woman's Shelter. Mrs. Creek attended Highland Baptist Church. She always had a sparkle in her eye and a kind word to say for all those she met during her life's journey. Most neighborhood children simply referred to her as mom.

Mr. Billy Creek retired from the Arlington Fire Department, loved fishing, golf, coaching his children's baseball and softball teams and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Upon learning of his imminent death, Billy's last wish was to hit one more hole in one and catch one more crappie.

Survivors include their children, DeAnna Creek of Arlington and David Creek and wife, Dr. Sandra Lauriat, of Dallas; three grandchildren Kaylie Creek, Cody Creek, Connor Creek; four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Creek is also survived by six brothers Boyd, Bobby, Barry, Buddy, Benny and Bruce Creek.

Billy and Fay were preceded in death by Mr. Creek's two sisters Betty and Barbara and brother Bailey "Rusty" Creek. Mrs. Creek's brother Robert Lee Loggins of Voss passed away on November 16, 2012.
