Dorothy Faye Musick

October 30, 1923 — October 11, 2017

Dorothy Faye Smith Musick, 93, of Coleman, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with her nephew, Carl Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.

Dorothy was born October 30, 1923 in Coleman to Simon and Audrey Smith. She lived in the Coleman and Abilene area most of her life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was a lifelong Baptist. She married Bill Edward Musick on August 4, 1945 in Brownwood. They celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Survivors include one brother, Jackie Smith of Santa Anna; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry E. and Helen Musick of Clyde, Rodney E. and Patti Musick of Santa Anna and five grandchildren, Rodney E. Musick, II and wife, Dee, Kori Howard and husband, Danny, Lee Ann Tobin and husband, Zach, Cody Musick, Tai Aristondo and husband, Josh. Dorothy is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren, Brooke Bennet, Alex Vasile, Amber Musick Hunter Musick, Wyatt Tobin, Chase Howard, Clayton Tobin, Kayla Aristondo, Robbie Bennett, Megan Musick, Lainee Aristondo, Bristol Musick, Jurnee Aristondo, Lincoln Musick; one great-great grandson, Chase Heit and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Musick in 2001; five brothers, Garland Smith, Earl Smith, Donny Smith, Billy Gaye Smith, Rex Smith; four sisters, Helen Griffin, Ruth Lobstein, Jean Priddy, Joan Lobstein and one grandson, Larry Lynn Musick.
