Debra Green, née Sartain, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Medical Center in Odessa surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 10, 1958, in Santa Anna, Texas.

Debra grew up in Santa Anna and Coleman, where she attended school. She was a homemaker whose first priority was caring for her family and her home. She loved her family immensely, and taking care of them was an honor she embraced throughout her life.

She married James Allen Green on March 5, 1984, in Coleman, a day that remained among the proudest and most meaningful moments of her life. Debra was known for her fun and outgoing personality. She absolutely loved and adored her grandchildren and was always present for their activities, offering steady love, encouragement, and joy. Her caring heart also extended to animals. She loved her pets, enjoyed visits to the zoo and aquarium, treasured vacations and festivals with her family, and found happiness in crafting at the senior center. In her younger years, she also enjoyed playing the slot machines. Debra was currently a resident of Stanton.

Debra leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with love. She is survived by her son, Eric Green and wife Ada of Brownwood, and her daughter, Brianna McCloud and husband Laron of Stanton. She was a devoted grandmother to Brennan McCloud, Marshall McCloud, Layla McCloud, Garrett Green, Tessa Green, and Samara Green, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her brother, Tommy Sartain, and by her sisters, Martha Wilkins and Leah Barnett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen Green; her father, Robert Lee Sartain; her mother, Geneva Geraldine Brooks Smith; her brother, Robert Lynn Sartain; and her sister, Treva Barnett.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W Pecan St, in Coleman. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman with Pastor Kelly Crenshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.

Debra will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the joy she found in her family, and the warmth of her spirited nature. Her presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
