Debra Kay (Wheeler) Dean

Debra Dean, 45, of Coleman, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene.  Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman, with Mr. Bob Martin officiating.  Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Debra Kay Wheeler on February 27, 1973 in Ballinger to Charles Buck Wheeler and Sandra Felty Wheeler.  She grew up in Coleman and attended school at Panther Creek and Coleman High School.  On June 27, 1988, she married Michael Dean in Houston.  Debra loved her family, loved photography and would help anybody in need.  She especially loved her Dallas Cowboys.  Debra worked at Buddy’s Plant Plus in Ballinger as an Assembly Line Leader.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Dean of Coleman, Jessica Wilburn and husband, Thomas, of Coleman; her mother, Sandra Dean of Coleman; one brother, Robert Ely and wife, Shannon, of Arlington; six grandchildren, Skyler Squyers, Tai Squyers, Haydn Dean, Riley Squyers, Azlie Squyers, Faith Wilburn, all of Coleman; aunts and uncle, Betty Witt of Coleman, Dwayne and Jonita Felty of Haskell; her mother-in-law, Betty Dean of Houston; two sisters-in-law, Kay Medina of Houston, Roseann Dean of Conroe; special friend, Dike Hunter of Coleman and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Dean on January 20, 2006; a son, Tyler Dean on June 2, 2006; her father, Charles Wheeler; uncle, Cecil Felty and grandmother, Vera Felty.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home.
