He was born David Alan Rush on August 27, 1944, in Jackson, Mississippi to William L. Rush, II and Agnes L. He is survived his wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Ray Rush of Coleman; his daughter, Ginger Moore and husband Dustin of Coleman; son-in-law, Andre Span of Abilene; eight grandchildren, Jordan Robinson, Chrysten Lofton, Zachary Burks, Ryan Burks, Gabriel Moore, Cheyenne Moore, Ansley Moore, and Luke Moore; 11 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, William L.
