Daniel Siller, Jr.

June 16, 1966 — March 16, 2024

Santa Anna

Daniel Siller, Jr., affectionately known as Danny to his loved ones, lived a life filled with dedication, love, and a profound connection to the world around him. With deep sorrow, we come together to honor and remember a man whose presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. Danny passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, in Coleman, Texas.

Born in Santa Anna, Texas, on June 16, 1966, Danny's journey through life was one defined by his unwavering commitment to caring for others. After graduating from Santa Anna High School and later attending Cisco Jr. College, where he played football, Danny's passion for sports was matched only by his passion for helping those in need.

A proud veteran who served in the United States Army, Danny carried with him a sense of duty and honor that extended far beyond his military service. After his time in the Army, he pursued a career as a cattle rancher, reveling in the beauty of the outdoors that he so cherished. Additionally, his talent as a part-time mechanic earned him a reputation as someone who could fix anything that came his way.

However, it was Danny's kind and compassionate spirit that truly set him apart. Described as having a big heart and a fervent desire to assist others, he made it his mission to check on the elderly and lend a helping hand to friends and strangers alike. His generous nature knew no bounds, and his legacy of kindness will endure long after his passing. Danny would show up randomly with a smile on his face and laughter in his voice. He was a loving man who helped others openly without artifice or asking for anything in return. He was a willing caregiver and babysitter.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Castillo Siller, Sr. and Evangelina Frausto Siller, as well as one brother, Nezahualcoyotl Siller.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Billie McKenzie. He is remembered by his siblings Graciela & Gabriel Fierro, Manuela Siller, Eva & James Ferguson, Elizabeth Siller, Robert Siller, Jorje Siller, Maricela Siller Fatino, and Andrea Siller. In addition to the immediate family he leaves behind, Tio Danny's memory is cherished by a multitude of nieces and nephews who felt his profound influence in their lives: Erika Tijerina-Phillips, Dustin Halverson, Alexandria Siller, Marco Fierro, Miranda Siller, Diego Fierro, Jacob Siller, Andrew Siller, Daniel Fatino, Ziggy Rees, and Angelina Fierro. He was beloved by his great nieces and nephews: Evangelina Tijerina-Phillips, Sofía Vasquez, Jocelyn Vasquez, Benjamin Nelson, and Eliana Tijerina-Phillips. Each one carries a part of Danny's spirit, his teachings, and his love within them, creating a living legacy of his kindness and warmth.

Danny's family extended to include many beloved aunts, uncles, and an army of cousins, each sharing in the sorrow of his passing but also in the celebration of his life. As we gather to bid farewell to this remarkable soul whose kindness and warmth will continue to shine through the memories we hold dear, Danny Siller Jr.'s legacy will endure forever in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
