Dalton Thomas DeLeon, age 29, of Coleman, died Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Odessa.
A Rosary service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 28, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 303 East College Street, in Coleman. Interment will follow at the Santa Anna Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
Dalton was born August 24, 1990 in Brownwood, Texas. He graduated from Coleman High School in 2009 where he excelled in playing football, basketball, baseball and track. Dalton then attended the Texas College of Cosmetology in Abilene. He enjoyed staying fit and spending time with family and friends. Dalton was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coleman.
Dalton is preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas DeLeon.
He is survived by his parents, Duwayne and Adel Hunter of Coleman; his siblings, Brady Hunter and wife Jennifer of Frisco, Mercedes Taylor of Arlington, Darrian Hunter of College Station, Denver Hunter of Coleman, Dayden Hunter of Coleman; his grandparents, Mary DeLeon of Santa Anna, Darrell and Wanda Hunter of Coleman, Bobbie Jones of Coleman; niece and nephew Harper Hunter and Bennett Hunter of Frisco; special friend, Britney Newton; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family who loved him very much.
Memorials in memory of Dalton are suggested to the Coleman Bluecat Booster Club. The donations will be held on behalf of the family and presented as a one-time scholarship to an athlete or athletes of their choice at the end of the year. The family requests that vibrant bright colors be worn to the funeral service in honor of Dalton’s bright and witty personality.
