Chrystal Faye (Seals) Jennings

January 28, 1944 — October 10, 2018

Coleman

Chrystal Faye Seals Jennings went to be with her loving Lord and Savior in heaven on Wednesday October 10, 2018.

Chrystal was born January 28, 1944 to Clyde and Mary Neva Seals in Coleman, Texas.   She was raised in Coleman with her two sisters Glenda Seals Hollabaugh and Doris Seals McCullouch.

Chrystal met Ed Jennings while living in Lubbock.  They were married on November 28, 1964.  They were married for 38 years.  They had one daughter, Rhonda.  Ed and Chrystal lived in Lubbock and Abilene before settling down in San Angelo in 1972.  Ed and Chrystal were actively involved their church life.  Chrystal could always be found helping in the kitchen or fellowship decorating or preparing food for a special event.  She especially enjoyed decorating the sanctuary for the Christmas season and was quick to enlist her family and friends in fluffing what seemed like miles and miles of garland.  Her dearest ministry, however, was the prayer ministry.  Chrystal was a powerful prayer warrior who loved praying for others.  She touched so many lives by the hours she spent on her knees.

Chrystal was also known by her family and friends for her great love of shopping.  She enjoyed doing things for others and was generous in her efforts to care for the ones she loved.  She adored her daughter and son-in-law, Dennis and Rhonda, and her two granddaughters, Emily and Abby.  She was known to spoil them rotten and instilled in them her philosophy of life which is to “eat dessert first.”  She believed in having fun and living each day to its fullest potential.

Chrystal is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Mary Neva Seals, her sister, Glenda Hollabaugh, her brothers-in law, Tommy McCulloch, Bill Jennings, and John Rusk, sisters-in-law, Dorothy Jennings Rusk, and Nell Jennings Pittman, and great niece, Leah McCulloch.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dennis and Rhonda Turpin of Victoria, her two granddaughters, Emily Turpin of Norman, Oklahoma and Abby Turpin of Victoria, her sister, Doris McCulloch of Coleman, her ex-husband Ed Jennings and his wife, Jeanna Lee Jennings ,of San Angelo, her  nieces and nephews, Sherrie and Clay Love of Talpa, Cole Love, of Talpa,  Ricky and Mary Ann McCulloch of Dallas,  Nicky and Tammy McCulloch of Dallas, and Micky and Joyce McCulloch of Dallas, along with her great nieces and nephews and their families, Sonya McCulloch Costanza and her husband Johnny and their children, Megan McCulloch Williams and her husband Chris and their children, and Caroline McCulloch.

A funeral will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation with family and friends one hour prior to the service.  Rev. Daniel Stovall, pastor of Concho Baptist Church, will officiate.  Interment will be in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan, Coleman.
