His gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of all who knew him.

Through his faith, Charles helped serve the community as evidence by serving as volunteer firefighter and EMS personnel in Bastrop County, Texas.

Outside of his professional life, Charles was a loving husband to his wife, Malinda Carter, and a proud father to their daughter, Krista Vargas, and husband Anastacio. He doted on his grandchildren, Beya and Bronson. Charles is also remembered by one brother, Richard Carter and his wife Patricia, his aunts Ramona Zerr and Kay Cunningham and nephews Mario Kopecky, Jordan Carter, and Kris Kopecky. His sisters-in-law, Anita Carter and Brenda Smith Simon and husband Maurice. Charles found joy in spending time with his family, creating lasting memories, and cherishing the moments that brought them closer together.
