Cecelia Bourland Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, in Garland, Texas, at the age of 82.

Cecelia was born on June 28, 1944, in Coleman, Texas, to Perry Nelson Bourland and Ileta Lorene Cope Bourland. She spent her early years in Coleman, surrounded by family and the close-knit community she would always treasure. Cecelia graduated from Coleman High School, a formative experience that set her course for a fulfilling life marked by love, friendship, and dedication.

On April 12, 1963, Cecelia married Dan Richard Williams, Sr. at First Baptist Church in Coleman—a union built on deep devotion and partnership. Together, they shared many joyful years and created a loving home. Though Dan preceded her in death, the legacy of their marriage remains ever present in the lives of their children and grandchildren.

Cecelia was the proud office manager for a dentist office in San Angelo for over twenty years. Her colleagues and the many patients she greeted each day were touched by her warmth and professionalism. She absolutely loved her job, and through her work, formed lasting friendships that brought her much joy and fulfillment.

Above all, Cecelia loved her family immensely. Her loving personality would always brighten the room, and she approached each day with kindness and a generous spirit. Cecelia is survived by her son, Dan Richard “Rick” Williams, Jr; her daughter, Leah Powell and husband Scott; her cherished grandchildren, Madison Williams, Parker Williams, and Conner Powell. She is also survived by her brother, Aaron Bourland and wife Becky, and her brother-in-law, David Williams. Each of them carries forward her legacy of warmth and resilience.

She was preceded in death by her father, Perry Nelson Bourland; her mother, Ileta Lorene Cope Bourland; her beloved husband, Dan Richard Williams, Sr.; her brother, Bryan Maurice Bourland; and her sister-in-law, Jean Williams.

Cecelia’s free time was spent tending to her beloved garden, pursuing arts and crafts, and caring for her precious pets who were always close by her side. She was known among friends and family as an excellent cook, with meals full of flavor and love. Her home reflected her creative spirit and welcoming heart—a place where laughter and affection were in abundance.

Cecelia Bourland Williams touched many lives with her compassion, joy, and dedication. She will be remembered not only for her many accomplishments but, above all, for the love and kindness she so freely gave.

A memorial service to celebrate Cecelia’s life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W Pecan Street, in Coleman with Dr. Chas Shira, pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for a life so beautifully lived.

Cecelia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
