Bruce Ransberger, a cherished member of the Coleman community, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Coleman County Medical Center. Born on May 13, 1955, in Coleman, Texas, Bruce spent his life devoted to his family, friends, and community.

A proud graduate of Coleman High School in 1973, Bruce continued his education at Angelo State University. His professional journey began with the Texas Department of Transportation, where he worked from 1983 until his retirement in 2004. During his years there, he found immense joy in his work and developed lasting friendships with his coworkers.

Bruce's passion for sports, particularly his unwavering support for the Coleman Bluecats, was well-known among his family and friends. He had a vibrant personality that drew people to him, and he cherished opportunities to announce games at the local football stadium. Bruce also enjoyed spending time outdoors, participating in activities such as deer hunting and fishing. His love for fellowship extended to hosting friendly poker games with family and friends.

On August 2, 1980, Bruce married the love of his life, Ginger Moneyhun, in a ceremony held at Community Baptist Church in Coleman. Their partnership was a source of strength and happiness throughout his life. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Ginger Ransberger of Coleman, and their two children: Cody Ransberger and wife Monica of Abilene, and Brooke Norris and husband Cameron of Coleman. He was a devoted grandfather to Tyler, Averi, Benjamin, Javi, David, Guy, Lily, and Chet, and he delighted in the company of his three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his immediate family, Bruce is also survived by his siblings, Barry Ransberger and Sue Ransberger, both of Coleman. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Barney Ransberger and Sylbia Ruth Bowers Ransberger.

The legacy Bruce leaves behind will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM, both at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
