Barbara "Bobbie" Martin

Barbara “Bobbie” Martin, 89, died Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home in Coleman. Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Gouldbusk Cemetery Pavilion. Burial will be in the Gouldbusk Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman.

She was born Barbara Curry to Lois Curry and Mamie Sewell Curry. She grew up in Coleman and attended Coleman schools. On November 8, 1948, she married Billie “Bill” Martin in Kermit. He preceded her in death on September 1, 1995. Bobbie was homemaker and a Christian.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Martin and wife, Tammie of Austin; one grandson, Jeremy Martin and wife, January, of Austin and two great grandchildren, Auden Martin and Corrielle Martin.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Fay Martin; a grandson, Seth Martin and two sisters, Betty and Dale.

The family asks that memorial donations in memory of Bobbie be made to Meals on Wheels.
