Annie Lee Bowen

Annie Lee Bowen, 104, of Coleman died Monday, January 27, 2014 at Coleman County Medical Center. Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Gouldbusk Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Dianne Cree officiating. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Annie Lee Lewallen on January 16, 1910 in Troy, Bell County, Texas to James Calvin Lewallen and Ida Bell Landers Lewallen. At the age of 10, her family moved to Gouldbusk. She married Willie Aaron Bowen on September 20, 1931 in Gouldbusk. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1961. Mrs. Bowen worked at Dairy Mart in Coleman and was a member of Gouldbusk Methodist Church.

Survivors include four children, Susie Marshall of Fort Worth, Charles Henry Bowen of Coleman, Mary Ann Graham and husband, David, of Coleman, Robert Lynn Bowen and wife, Joyce, of Coleman; 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Bowen; one son, John Will Bowen and one daughter, Ida Jo Pyburn.

Family visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
