Alonzo Shelton

Alonzo Shelton, 74, of Coleman, died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Coleman County Medical Center.  Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with Bro. Wayne Shelton officiating, assisted by Bro. Henry Shelton.  Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

Aubrey Alonzo Shelton was born January 21, 1944 in Coleman to James Henry Shelton and Willie Belle Minor Shelton.  He grew up in Coleman and attended Coleman schools.  He worked as a short-order cook at the Chuck Wagon in Coleman.  Alonzo loved fishing and was fun spirited, even when agitating people.  He attended Concho Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Pat Shelton of Odessa; his sister, Donna Rockey of Coleman and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.
